Recent figures from the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) show that
the number of workers with RSI has increased by 52,000 over the past 3 yearsA study
conducted in 2000, involving the University of Miami School of Medicines found that adults suffering from low back pain found
relief from massage therapy. The study "Lower Back Pain is Reduced and Range of Motion Increased After
Massage Therapy" discovered that massage therapy effectively reduced pain, positively impacts of the biochemical system
and attenuates psychological symptoms associated with lower back pain (International Journal of Neuroscience, 2001).
Some 4.7 million working days were lost in 2003/4 to RSI, with each worker
taking an average of 18 days off sick with the injury
According to the Health & Safety Executive musculoskeletal disorders
are the most common occupational illness in Great Britain, affecting 1.1 million people a year
Back
problems are the most common form of ill health at work Pain and discomfort caused by back pain or upper limb disorders can
lead to low morale and motivation, poor work quality, and to more sick days. According to CSP spokeswoman Jacqui Smith “employers
can make a big difference to the health of their workers, while at the same time improving the productivity and profits of
their business”. For current official UK Government

Types of Corporate Therapy
We have listed a
brief glimpse into some of the Corporate Therapy options we offer. Many are believed to work well, not only for
those in good health but also for those using them together with orthodox medicine. If employees are under
medical supervision, they should always check first with their medical adviser that they have no objection to the recipient
participating in a treatment session.
It is our aim to help people to understand what is going on in their body, to help
them become more 'tuned-in' to their feelings and health. That way employees will become more positive
in their outlook and are better able to enjoy an improved quality of life – whether it be at work, at home or at leisure.
With regular visits you can expect to experience any or all of the following, in yourself & in your staff:
