ABOUT THE
H CLUB COURSES
Our First Aid courses are fully flexible and can combine modules for adult, child and infant
CPR and first aid skills. We also offer the option of including Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) training and
emergency oxygen use.
The
H Club First Aid course modules can be taught together,
as stand alone courses or in any combination.
We can customise our course delivery to meet your timing and training
needs.
Courses follow ECC Guidelines 2005 for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and the emergency cardiovascular
care standards set by the Basic Life Support (BLS) Working Group of the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR)
and the European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2005.
PRIMARY CARE (BASIC LIFE SUPPORT & CPR) MODULES
Our Primary Care modules teach you:

to
respond to life-threatening emergencies
·
to
have confidence in your ability to provide care when emergency situations arise
Some
of the skills you’ll learn in this class include:

Scene safety assessment

· Obstructed airway clearing
· Serious bleeding management
· Shock management

Spinal injury management
SECONDARY
CARE (FIRST AID) MODULES
These modules cover injuries and illnesses that are not immediately life-threatening. In
these modules you will learn:
· Injury assessment

Illness
assessment
· Bandaging and splinting
PAEDIATRIC CARE FOR CHILDREN MODULES
The H Club offers the Care for Children Course using flexible
learning resources to cover CPR, AED and First Aid training. They teach how to provide emergency care for
injured or ill infants and children. You’ll learn the types of medical emergencies children face
and how they differ from adult conditions.
The modules also addresses:

The
emotional aspects of caring for children
· Secondary care for children
·
Preventing
common injuries and illnesses in children
The Care for Children modules include both CPR and first aid skills. The Primary
care module prepares you to render aid to an infant or child with a life-threatening emergency such as choking or cardiac
arrest.
Secondary care focuses on developing secondary patient care skills and building
your confidence to give first aid to an infant or child in need.
The Care for Children module content is based
on guidelines from the Paediatric Working Group of ILCOR and fully meet EYFS requirements.
