Advertising

Advertising can be as expensive or cheap as you wish to make it.  The best advertising any Therapist can get, which is both effective and value for money, is 'Word of Mouth' and 'Recommendations' from existing clients, freinds and family to other people who they know.

Saying 'THANK YOU' for a referral is a good way to show people you appreciate their faith in your abilities.  Why not try a small discount off the persons' next treatment with you.

 

Web Listings 

Web listings can help direct clients who are looking for a particular treatment in a small geographic area, to locate Practitioners who they might otherwise never come into contact with.  The web-page can become a 'shop Window', especially as many people now prefer to do they shopping and selection based on research from within their own home, rather than trawling up and down the high street looking in shop windows.

There is always a cost associated with maintaining a web-presence - either a charge for the initial construction of the site and then annual hosting charges, or alternately, using listings on other people's sites.  These are usually FREE for a time.  Once numbers listed are high however, the site owners usually introduce a 'Premium' listing where to get to the top of the list, you need to pay.  The downside clearly being that once the 'Premium' is introduced, you will be unlikely to gain hits.

As with all web-pages - these are freely accessible to everyone.  Clients and Competitors as well as people wishing to sell you things.  Be sure you do not publish contact details unless you are sure you wish them to be in public domain.
